Minimum Deposit
The smallest amount a casino accepts as a single deposit — often set per payment method and per bonus offer.
Also known as: Min depositDeposit minimumMinimum funding
The minimum deposit is the smallest amount an online casino accepts in one deposit transaction. Common values: €10-25 for most operators; €1-5 at low-min casinos; €50+ at high-roller-only operators.
Two different minimums
Operator minimum — the general minimum for the payment method. If you deposit below this, the transaction fails.
Bonus minimum — the minimum deposit required to qualify for a specific bonus. Often €10-20 for standard welcomes; €50-100+ for high-roller offers. Deposit below the bonus minimum and the bonus doesn’t activate (but the deposit itself succeeds).
Why casinos set minimums
- Payment processor fees: card processing costs €0.10-0.30 per transaction; below €5 deposit the operator loses money.
- Anti-money-laundering thresholds: too many small deposits from different players can look like structuring.
- VIP-tier segmentation: high-min operators explicitly target higher-bankroll players.
What matters for players
- Match your intended deposit. Depositing €10 to trigger a “100% up to €500” bonus wastes the offer — the bonus caps at whatever your deposit is.
- Watch for hidden minimums. A bonus advertised without an explicit minimum may still require €10-20 to activate; check the T&C.
- Payment method minimums differ. Card minimum might be €10, crypto minimum could be €1, bank wire could be €50.
Low-min casinos
Some operators target casual players with €1-5 minimum deposits. Common at:
- Crypto casinos with very small BTC/USDT deposits.
- Specific market operators (Nordic countries, some Asian markets).
- New/small operators trying to convert curious players.
Low-min doesn’t mean best — the low minimum can be paired with high wagering, small max cashout, and restrictive payment methods. Compute EV before depositing.
